Cook Out Plans

Having a plan B always helps if weather turns out to be rainy. There are various ways. Instead of cooking outdoor, you can cook it indoor if you have a grill pan.

Or, instead of serving salad, burger and hot dogs, serve something with the slow cooker. As you know, when it rains, it is usually chilly. Something takes the chill out always make everybody cozy and comfortable.

Fun Culture

We are starting a Chinese dining table series from this month onwards. There will be some exclusive fun culture facts for subscribers. Make sure you follow the link to check it out.

The order of Chinese word is from left to right. Here are the pronunciations of the above four words.

Mandarin: “san song yi tang”

Cantonese: “sam sung yat tong”

Let's dive into the meaning of each word. The first word from the left means "three". Then, the second word means "side dish(es)". Second last word from the right means "one" and the last on the right means "soup".

Three side dishes and a soup is a very typical rule of thumb when Chinese prepare homemade meals. Along with these side dishes and soup, steamed white rice or congee will be served as well.
